HYBRID HEADBOX

Specially developed for the production of fibrous veils

The hybrid headbox allows part of the web to be formed inside the headbox by installing drainage boxes in its terminal section. The second part is formed by draining the jet from the headbox onto a conventional fourdrinier. This method produces a dual-structure web with highly tortuous pores and no pinholes.

Advantages

The hybrid headbox was developed for the production of fibrous veils:

  • whose structure must not contain pinholes
  • made from fibers that require very low stock consistency in the headbox
  • across a very wide range of basis weights
